Sherrington Grange Boutique Country Accommodation

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Guests are welcome to be part of farm activities and to use the extensive walking tracks. Depending on personal preference and time of year, you might go star-gazing with the aid of our star charts, feed the goats, or take a cheese-making class with Lisa. Collecting the ingredients for dinner can also be very satisfying.

Farming Experience
  • Walking - when you've had your fill of the 13km or so of on-farm walking tracks, take advantage of the pick-up and drop off service to the nearby (10min) Queen Charlotte Track and soak up the spectacular views and wildlife.
  • Maps and recommendations, tailored to your tastes and timetable, will help you explore local vineyards, which produce some of the world's best sauvignon blanc, riesling, pinot noir, and chardonnay.
  • Lisa is also the co-ordinator for the Marlborough Cheese Trails, a progressive picnic taking you across the wine-making region and allowing you to sample some of the best local foods and wines or beers as they were meant to be enjoyed - together.
We can also arrange the following with local operators -
  • Sea kayaking.
  • Boat cruises / fishing trips.
  • Wine, art & craft or sightseeing tours.
  • Maori bone carving.
  • Golf, includes transport to meet water taxi, and packed lunch, if required.
