Sherrington Grange is a large elegant farmhouse, set in 400 acres of pasture, native forest and deserted coastline. The house is a stone’s throw from the beach and private wharf and offers beautiful views. Guest quarters include comfortable bedrooms, cosy sitting areas and access to large sea-facing deck.

Dine at the long table, under wrought iron chandeliers, surrounded by 18^th century furniture, musical instruments (including baby grand piano) and original art works – the product of 4 generations of collectors. Our menu is based around fresh game, seafood and organic vegetables, complemented by superb local wines.

Sherrington Grange is not a hotel but a working farmhouse and home. Guests become part of our extended family and may enjoy complete privacy or a range of individually tailored activities. Walk through gorgeous scenery, go fishing, gather your own oysters, take a cheese-making class in the farm kitchen or just curl up with a book from our library. The choice is yours.

Sherrington Grange is 1 hour by road from both Blenheim and Picton. Alternatively, take a 15min water taxi from Picton and be met at the other end for the 10min drive home. We regret we are unsuitable for children.
